Auto focus helps but the camera’s adjustable diopter corrects our vision to achieve sharp focus. Here’s how to do it!

Turn on the camera and put your eye to the viewfinder. Turn the diopter adjustment wheel until the digital readout in the viewfinder is sharp – that is how you will know that your image is sharp! Often the battery saving function in your camera will make the viewfinder reading disappear – just lightly depress the shutter button to make the readout reappear and resume fine tuning your diopter until the text in the LCD readout is as sharp as you can get it!

Recheck the sharpness routinely – handling the camera can make the diopter wheel go out of adjustment!
